Bill has worked in the conservation policy arena for over 35 years. His career includes research and policy advocacy work at the federal level in water pollution control, wildlife and biodiversity conservation, national parks protection, and most recently ocean conservation. As vice president for government affairs at Marine Conservation Institute, Bill coordinated the institute’s program to successfully advocate the establishment of three national marine monuments in the Pacific Ocean and to establish a deep sea corals research program at NOAA. He has served as a legislative assistant with two members of Congress, Legislative Representative for the Nature Conservancy, Vice President for Conservation at National Parks Conservation Association, and research editor and editor of the Audubon Wildlife Report.
